About Norton Estate Planning
Jennifer Norton
Attorney & Counsellor at-Law
I am a passionate, outgoing, dedicated, caring, god-fearing woman that LOVES estate planning.
Looking back, it only seems natural that I would belong to a profession focused on protecting and empowering the family. Growing up with three siblings and an extended family (twelve aunts, seven uncles, and dozens of cousins!) taught me that when all else fails, we can always count on family to hold us up. I see myself as someone who is very committed to family, and, with the birth of my son, this passion only continues to grow.
The true essence of estate planning is about family and finding ways to take care of those that you love. My practice is somewhat atypical, in that, I view and treat my clients as just another, extended version of my family.
Although my educational background does not even begin to scratch the surface of who I am, my values, or the passion I possess for estate planning, the milestones I’ve outlined below are what allow me to share my practice with present and future clients.
I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a proud 2001 graduate of Cathedral High School, a school that prides itself on academic excellence, faith, and service. With this foundation in Irish tradition, I then attended Indiana University-Bloomington to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
From there, I entered the Maurer School of Law (formerly Indiana University School of Law- Bloomington). Since graduating in 2008, I have confined my practice to the area of estate planning. In 2009, I became a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, uncovered my passion, and gained substantive legal training in estate and tax planning.
As a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, I have developed relationships with leading authorities in the estate planning field. Experiencing this organization’s unique collegiality has called me to join in their mission of “Changing the Way America Plans, For the Better.”
